Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Now that I’m done with my orthodontic treatment, are my teeth just going to stay in place or do I need to do something?
Answer: Your teeth will not likely remain in alignment on their own. They have a tendency to shift out of place, which can lead you right back toward misalignment. We strongly encourage you to wear retainers (for life!) so your smile looks amazing forever.
Question: Do I have to wear retainers all day every day to keep the results of my orthodontic treatment intact?
Answer: Not exactly. In the beginning, for about six months, we recommend that you wear retainers most of every day (about 22 hours). Then, after this period is over, you can wear them just while you sleep. Then, after another six months, a few nights a week will usually do.
Question: What should I do if I love how straight my smile looks but my post-orthodontics grin is not quite as white as I would like?
Answer: Good news: You’ll get a free whitening treatment after your orthodontic care with us, including one syringe of bleaching gel. Ask us for details!
